Sweet Farewell to Summer: Candy Land Celebration

At Huntington Woods, we wrapped up the summer in style with our annual End of Summer celebration, this time with a delightful Candy Land theme! This much-anticipated event brings together residents and staff for one final summer hoorah before we welcome the beauty of fall. This year's celebration was inspired by the beloved board game, Candy Land, creating a whimsical atmosphere filled with bright colors and playful decorations.

The main dining area and hallways were transformed with candy-themed decor, including giant balloons, peppermint swirls, and vibrant squares reminiscent of the game board. Residents and staff enjoyed a variety of finger foods, cotton candy-infused drinks, and a make-your-own candy bar packed with sweet treats. A live DJ kept the energy high with music and dancing, while our talented social worker, Rya, added extra fun with face painting.

Events like these are more than just celebrations—they play a vital role in creating a sense of community and joy within the nursing home. By offering opportunities for connection, creativity, and fun, activities help our residents stay engaged, feel valued, and strengthen bonds with staff and one another. Our Candy Land party is just one of many ways we foster a vibrant, caring environment at Huntington Woods.
